Can I request that the library buy materials relevant to my research?

Answer

If you are unable to find materials through the catalog (e-books, books, videos, etc.) or GALILEO (journals, scholarly articles, newspaper articles, etc.), then you can borrow an item from another library. If it's a book, include the title in "double quotes" in a catalog search. Use the drop-down menu to select University System of Georgia. Sign in with your MyGCSU credentials to get the request item option. For articles in Galileo, use the Find It button. Initiate a request with the Request resource from another library (ILLIAD) link.

If you feel that the material would be valuable to have for ongoing research, you may suggest the item to the library for evaluation. We always welcome suggestions.
