Through the library there are options for borrowing items or articles from other libraries, such as GIL Express and ILL.

But you may want to vary your search to make sure you didn't miss anything. For example, here are some tips for searching GALILEO:

  • Remove limits - did you check the "Full text" box or limit your search to a specific date? Try removing those limits.
  • Try different search terms - what you call something may be called something else. Try a different wording (check your spelling, of course). Or you can search for search terms to make sure that you are using the terms that are most likely to link to relevant items in Academic Search Complete

Once you've exhausted those possibilities, try a few Google search strategies:

  • Keeping your search terms, add site:org or site:edu or site:gov or site:mil to your search. Or change your search terms into a phrase, by "stating it as a phrase in quotes."
  • You should also try Google Scholar. Did you know that if you are searching for a campus computer, Google Scholar will show you which items are available through the library with a Find it @ GCSU link.
